Cookie Policy
What we track on polarhairofficial.com, and why.
This policy explains, in plain language, every cookie and similar tracking technology used across polarhairofficial.com — what each one does, how long it stays on your device, which outside services set it, and exactly how to switch off anything that isn’t strictly required to keep the site working.
What a cookie actually does on our site
A small file, not a hidden program
A cookie is a small text file that your browser stores when you visit polarhairofficial.com. It doesn’t run code and can’t access files on your device — it simply holds a small piece of information, such as what’s in your shopping cart or which shade page you viewed, so the site can remember it on your next request.
Where our cookies come from
Some cookies are set directly by our WordPress and WooCommerce store so checkout, cart, and account pages function correctly. Others are set by outside services we rely on — like analytics and advertising platforms — to help us understand traffic and measure how our ads perform. Both categories are listed in full below.
This Cookie Policy applies to polarhairofficial.com and any subdomain or checkout page operated by Polar Hair Co Inc. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more broadly, and our Terms of Service, which govern your use of the site. We ship only within the United States, and every cookie described here supports that U.S.-only, single-product storefront — we do not use cookies for purposes unrelated to running this store, showing you relevant ads, or measuring how our marketing performs.
The four categories of cookies we use
Every cookie on our site falls into one of these four categories. The first is required to run the store; the other three are used only to improve your experience or to measure and place advertising, and each can be limited using the controls described further down this page.
Essential / strictly necessary
Keep your shopping cart intact as you move between the shade guide and checkout, remember items you’ve added, protect the checkout form against cross-site request forgery, and let you stay logged in to any account you create. Without these, checkout does not function, so they are not switched off by the cookie banner.
Functional
Remember small preferences such as a shade you were last comparing, whether you’ve already dismissed a promotional banner, or the currency and region shown at checkout (currently U.S. dollars and U.S. shipping only). These make repeat visits smoother but are not required for the site to work.
Analytics / performance
Tell us, in aggregate, how many people visit each page, which shade descriptions get the most attention, how long the product page takes to load, and where visitors drop off before checkout. We use this to fix broken pages and improve descriptions — not to build a profile of you as an individual.
Marketing / advertising
Measure whether an ad you clicked led to a purchase, and, where you’ve allowed it, show you a reminder about Instant Dye Shampoo on other sites after you’ve visited ours. These cookies are set by third-party advertising platforms, never by us directly, and are the easiest to opt out of using the controls below.
The outside tools that set cookies on our store
Polar Hair Co Inc runs on WordPress with the WooCommerce store engine, plus a small number of outside services chosen specifically to run checkout and measure marketing performance. We do not sell or rent this data, and none of these tools receive more information than they need to do their job.
WordPress & WooCommerce
Our storefront, product catalog, and checkout are built on WordPress with the WooCommerce plugin. These set the core cart, session, and security cookies described in the retention table below.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns and page performance. Google’s own use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy, and you can opt out using the controls in the next section.
Google Ads remarketing
If you’ve interacted with our ads, a Google Ads cookie may be used to measure conversions and, where permitted by your consent choice, show a follow-up ad for Instant Dye Shampoo. Manage this anytime at Google Ads Settings.
Payment processors
Checkout is processed by PCI-compliant payment providers that set their own fraud-prevention cookies during payment. Polar Hair Co Inc never sees or stores your full card number.

Retention windows below are typical ranges for each cookie type. Exact lifespans can vary slightly by browser and by updates the underlying service providers make on their end.

How consent works, and how to opt out
When you first visit polarhairofficial.com, a cookie banner asks you to accept or decline optional cookies before any analytics or advertising cookie is set. Essential cookies load regardless, because the store cannot function without them.
Our cookie banner
Choose “Accept,” “Decline,” or open settings to switch individual categories on or off. Your choice is remembered for future visits and can be changed anytime by clearing your browser’s stored preference for this site.
Your browser settings
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies from Site Settings or Privacy preferences. Blocking essential cookies will prevent checkout from completing, so we recommend only disabling analytics and marketing cookies this way.
Direct opt-out links
Turn off Google Analytics tracking with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, adjust ad personalization at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of interest-based ads industry-wide through the DAA WebChoices Tool or the NAI Opt-Out Tool.
Your rights under state privacy law
Because we sell only within the United States, these rights are the ones that matter for our customers. They apply whether or not you complete a purchase.
California — CCPA / CPRA
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected through cookies, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context advertising, including through analytics and remarketing cookies. Submit any of these requests to help@polarhairofficial.com.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out request for the sale or sharing of your personal information under California law, and we honor it automatically without requiring a separate email.
Other state privacy laws
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and other states with comparable consumer privacy laws have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising based on cookie data. We apply the same process described above to every request, regardless of which state law it’s made under.
No sale of personal information
Polar Hair Co Inc does not sell personal information to data brokers. Where advertising cookies are considered “sharing” under California law, you can turn this off entirely using the opt-out controls in the section above.
A few more things worth stating plainly
Do Not Track signals: Most browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no single technical standard that all sites are required to follow for this signal, our site does not currently respond to it directly — instead, we honor the Global Privacy Control signal described above, which carries clear legal effect under California law.
Children’s privacy: Instant Dye Shampoo is marketed to adults, and polarhairofficial.com is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information or set tracking cookies for visitors we know to be under 13, consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Changes to this Cookie Policy
If we add a new analytics or advertising tool, change a retention period, or adjust how our cookie banner works, we’ll update this page and revise the “Last updated” date at the bottom. We encourage you to revisit this page occasionally, especially before making a purchase.
Reach the team that actually wrote this page
If anything here is unclear, or you’d like to exercise any of the rights described above, contact us directly — a real person on our support team will respond, not an automated ticket queue.
